The EMHS CTE department provides training in many areas of career and technical education.
Students will learn skills that are applicable in the real world. Most classes are highly hands-on
and allow students to experience activities that may help them decide on a potential career
path.

B.S. in Animal and Poultry Sciences from Virginia Tech

Personal Bio:
I struggled in high school to find my career path. I grew up on a farm, but never realized that I could make a career out of agriculture. In college, when I changed majors to study Ag I really wished I had been more educated about the opportunities in Ag when I was in high school. Today, I get to give my high school students the experiences that I wish I'd had. Each day, I get to share my passion for agriculture with those who will become the future of agriculture. Outside of the classroom, I am most likely riding horses or hiking with my dogs. I also enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and bird watching. I am a lifelong learner and love learning right alongside my students each day!
